Favorite Fall and Halloween Crafts From Blogland

Happy Halloween, Y'all!

I thought I'd throw in my two cents

worth to showcase a few of my favorite 

Halloween and Fall craft / decor ideas that 

caught my attention around Blogland

over the last few weeks.

Jeanette at Crafty in Crosby had a really neat idea

on these hanging witch legs.

Kim's felt wreath at All Things Simple
was the inspiration for my BOO wreath

Kathy from Life on Lakeshore Drive really

snazzyed up this pumpkin, shabby chic style.

This Owl Pirate Pumpkin that Carlene did 

over at Organized Clutter is too cute!

Don't care for carving out your pumpkins?

Confessions of a Plate Addict shows us how to

make 'em pretty with Mod Podge and pretty paper.

Amanda at My Heart's Desire made a 

beautiful lighted pumpkin topiary with berries...

this is still on my to-do list.

I love everything about Kristen's Fall Mantel

These "acorns" are very cleverly made, 

by Life Is A Party.

Janis at All Things Beautiful did an awesome job
creating an overhead grapevine light, and she also
made those lovely pumpkin topiaries.



Katie at Fun Home Things made this
cute and simple canning lid pumpkin!



Michele at Sweet Somethings Designs
made this beautiful center piece 
with pine cones and fall sprays.


I could go on and on all day with this post,
but I'm sure y'all have your faves as well.

I Heart Witches, Pumpkins, Scarecrows, Acorns... and Lima Beans!

Halloween will soon be here, Y'all!

I've been slow to get up some more

Halloween decorations.

I LOVE witches, esp. the cute ones ;-)

{Sorry about the glare from the flatscreen!}

The flatscreen, as wonderful as it is,

has taken my mantel decorating away from me,

except the immediate sides.

So I painted my Lima Bean orbs Orange, which I

thought would look horrid, but actually looks

pretty darned good! Or SHOULD I say Horrid

you know, for Halloween and all that ;-)  

Since we're still in the mid 80s during the day,

we don't need the fireplace going anyway.

So I just turned the hearth into my 

Halloween playground.

This acorn wreath has already "lived a couple of lives".

You can see it for Mother's Day and July 4th...

Add orange spray paint and natural colored 

burlap and voila - Fall Decor Wreath!

The Little Blondie Witch holds a broom and a hanging cat

I also love Scaredy Cats! In past Halloween parties, 

this dish has held salsa or taco meat.

The Frankenstein Crawling Hand is going for the candy!

I had to thrown in my Frankenstein candlesticks,

placed in antique black spindles.

I collect every cute witch I can find!

Here's "Spidey" the spider pumpkin...

What? put this pretty kitchen mat in the KITCHEN...

to get stepped on and food splattered??? no way...

This is a special pumpkin my daughter bought for

me a few weeks back from Hobby Lobby.

Did you know I have NOT been shopping this

season for ANY new fall or Halloween decor???

Hey, the economy is tough 'round my house!!

But I did spend $1.50 on orange spray paint...

And, I guess you COULD call my old

Painted Candle Holders new...

Plus I only spent $2 on felt and a 

dollar store wreath form for my BOO Wreath...

I usually buy a couple of new things each year to add to
my collection but that's OK, 'cause I have plenty of STUFF.

  I'm just happy my daughter is home from Spain,
AND I have a granddaughter who already knows 
where Halloween candy comes from!  Mmmm Goodie.
By the way, just how many licks DOES it
take to get to the center of a lolly pop???

Fall Decorated Metal Table Set

Hey Y'all! I hope your Sunday is as beautiful

as ours is here in Georgia!

I picked up the metal chair and table set

(with the glass top in perfect shape!)

at my local Good Will, probably

about two years ago. It was one of those

projects that I kept putting 

on the back burner. 

Before I even got started taking photos, I

came out to find Prince the Cat had made himself

quite comfy in my bed of fresh much. 

The table itself was (is) in extremely good shape.

I even like the original creamy white color.

So it really didn't need a paint job.

It was the chairs that were in desperate need of painting.

They had been primed at some point but still had a few

rusty spots. I found spray paint that matched the table.

Not sure if you can tell but the chairs

have hearts in the inner area.

I love these mums.

Not fully yellow, not fully orange.

I wasn't bothering Prince in the least 

with all my photo shooting.

I've had the Pumpkin Welcome sign for years.

I used old hanging baskets to hold the flowers.

Y'all have a good Monday!

And then again, I do love the "Hiding Ghost"
