Are you nutty for Nutcrackers?
Good Morning, Y'all!
Boy this has been another busy week for
me, with trying to finish up my
Christmas decorating, and getting
ready for a Willow House party tonight...
This ol' gal is tired!!
Anyway, I was visiting around some of my
bloggy friends and came across a very interesting
post over at Apple Grove Treasures.
Lori also collects nutcrackers and had
found an old German folk lore about the Nutcracker.
They were given as gifts to ward off
evil spirits because they are painted baring their teeth.
{All of mine do, except my Queen & Elf}
Some people think they are scary looking.
Not me!! Hop over to Lori's place and check
out what she found out about the legend.
But before you go, here are some
quick photos of my collection of 12....
and counting!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous collection JoAnn. I certainly don't think they're scary. I only gave 3 myself, but I just love them.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing this at our Winter Wonders and Holiday Happenings link party. Hope you're having a fabulous weekend!

DeleteWonderful collection! My parents collect those little "smokers" that open in half and you can put a lit fragrance cone inside, then smoke pours out of their mouths. They have a few nutcrackers too, but not as nice as yours!
ReplyDeleteHey Jessi! I've heard of the smokers but don't come across those around here. I'd love to have one though. Thanks for stopping by to comment ;-)
