Hey Y'all! Hope
everyone had a wonderful
Thanksgiving and bought
lots of Black Friday goodies -
I know I did... right from
my lap top and comfy couch,
still in my PJs,
sipping on my hot coffee ;-)
I've braved a few
CRAZY Black Friday shopping
ordeals to know NOTHING
is worth all that craziness!
I know some - MOST - of you are
way ahead of me on Christmas decorating.
So this is my first Santa up
for this season, a $2 thrifted
Santa and a $1 candle tin
filled with green potpourri,
a nice and simple decorating start...
On to the tree, and now I find that
only ONE strand of Christmas tree lights
work, so now I'll HAVE to go
to town to get some new
white lights - IF any are left!
Keep your fingers crossed!

I didn't shop yesterday either. Actually had to work. But even if I was off no way I'd brave the crowds!
ReplyDeleteI haven't started my Christmas decorating yet. But I'm getting ideas for what I want to do and trying to plan out some crafts :)
Hey! one thing I'm gonna make are those cute wooden snowmen.
DeleteNo black friday for me either. I don't do crowds well at all. You did it the right way. It is that time for the tree. I'm a little slow.
ReplyDeleteYep, I learned it the hard way !
DeleteWe also opted out of Black Friday shopping. But, we do have all gifts bought and wrapped. Our tree is also up, and in a sec I will hang the wreath :)
ReplyDeleteWow, already bought and wrapped. Smart thinking!
DeleteI stay away from crowds and shopping, too! I love your Santa. I'm taking a few weeks off from posting on my blog but I'll be by to visit with you (husband is sick). Hope you find your Christmas tree lights at the store.
ReplyDeleteThanks, and hope your hubby get better soon.
DeleteI have a table top tree and ordered a new Christmas skirt for it...it hasn't arrived as yet so I will wait a few day longer.
ReplyDeleteHave a good Sunday.
And you as well! I usually put up three trees, maybe not this year !
DeleteIt's such a busy time of year, it seems we jump from one holiday to the next. With a few birthdays in there that I have to bake for also, I'm never sure how I get it all done.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has a Dec birthday as well - busy, busy, that's for sure!
DeleteYour a little bit ahead of me - No Santa's yet. We did put up a tree before we decided to take a train trip to see my daughter for Christmas. We aren't going to put the ornaments on, so you are sooooo ahead of me, right? Have fun decorating!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI just started my decorating today! Hope you found those lights.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann, going to "brave" it later this afternoon - I love those new bigger LED lights but they're much more expensive - oh well. We'll see - thanks so much for visiting!
DeleteHow cute! I just had Sam drag down all of my boxes of decorations from the attic...and I have to work the next 3 days in a row!! It's killing me to look at those boxes and not be able to dig right into them yet!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I know, it's killing me looking at a bare tree just begging to be lit! But it'll be there waiting on you ;-) Have a great day!
DeleteYou got me beat- I still have Thanksgivinf stuff up. We went out of town for Thanksgiving and got back yesterday and I haven't had time to put it away yet.
ReplyDeleteLOL, it seems like your behind but there is still plenty of time - thanks for taking the time to hop over to comment.
