This is a felt ornament I wanted to try.
It's has 6 layers of 4 1/2 inch circles.
These are very light weight.
I didn't have any small beads to
add at the connection points,
which I think would have made
it prettier and added focal points.
It would also have helped hold
the ornament open, as it tends
to go flat when you lay it down.
HERE is the tutorial I followed at
Zakka Life - this their ornament:
Also, I participated in the Ornament Swap over at
I was partnered with Kendra of
Here is the ornament she sent me
A super cute pickle!
Thanks Kendra!
Happy Saturday Y'all

That is such a cute ornament! I am hoping I can make some ornaments with my daughter this year. I am going to add this one to the list.
ReplyDeleteHi Angie! I'm sure you two will have fun making these together. I'm thinking a tri-color theme would also be pretty!
DeleteThis is so cute! I've seen similar ornaments made with paper but felt is so much more elegant. It would look wonderful with sparkle felt too! :-)
ReplyDeleteOhhh sparkle felt - now why didn't I think of that ? ;-)
DeleteHow cute that ornament is, JoAnn! You make things with such detail! I love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for participating in Pinned it, Made it! Monday! :)
Blessings,
Tammy
Hey Tammy, thanks for commenting and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
DeleteCute ornament!
ReplyDeleteThanks Allison!
DeleteThat ornament is so cute! I would love to make some of those!
ReplyDeleteHi Jill, they're easy but do put something like a bead, or whatever, maybe a contrasting stitch with embroidery floss, to give it more stability. Thanks so much for commenting, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
DeleteI really like the dimension and 'weave' of this! So pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up! <3 Christina
Thanks Christina! I think if I'd used the thicker felted wool it would have had more stiffness, except I can't stand wool ;- / which is why I stick to the craft felt.
DeleteThis is cute as can be. We made some almost like them when my boy was little. Wonder where they are now.:)
ReplyDeleteOver from Sunny Simple.
Those are cute!
ReplyDeletethe circle ornament looks easy enough! You could whip up several of those in no time! LOL...
I think I agree with you on the beads...(or sequins) a little sparkle.
Pat
Yes, definitely adding in those elements on the next ones. This was really a test ornament. Thanks so much for hopping over to comment!
DeleteLove the ornament. I haven't seen this anywhere. Thanks for linking to my Ornament Party, too. Best Christmas Season to you. Linda
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm working on a different style - will link when it's finished - It's much prettier but a bit more time consuming.
DeleteThank you for sharing this at The Purple Pumpkin Blog Link Party #12
ReplyDeleteI've got some felt hanging around, so I might have to give this a try!
Have a happy Monday!
Michelle xx
