Tip Tuesday: SAVE $$ Tshirt Duster Wipes and Gloves

DIY Dusting Gloves from an old T shirt!
You'll be UGH mazed at what a bulky
dust cloth leaves behind!

** Gloves are best sewn 4 layers thick - slide your hand between the 2 **

Living on dirt roads makes it even worse...
Really get into the grooves with the gloves:
turned wood table legs, door and window top ledges,
chair rail and baseboard ledges
cabinet top ledges, six-paneled door grooves....
they are especially useful for delicate
items like berry garlands and ceramic dolls
faux greenery and flowers.
Trace your hand, fingers spread wide open; I sewed with
a long stitch, then pinked to cut them out.

SAVE $$$ by making your own washable and reusable
Slide On Duster Wipes.
Trace the plastic duster onto a t shirt - I sewed three layers.
Snip the edges to help fray and fluff the layers.
I cut this one on an angle for reaching into corners.

  1. This is a great money saving idea. I usually save old t-shirts for applying stain, cleaning the inside of my car, now I have another way to use them.

    Have a great week.

    1. Thanks for commenting! I also cut rectangles or squares, 2 layers, then sew around the edges and X thru the middle, for putting in the car for spills and grease rags, misc car rags.

    1. working on one for a strap on mop head - then toss it in the washer - I hate buying those stick on things. This will save a lot of $$$ :) More money for shoes:)

    1. Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Once you get going with those gloves on, you'll be astounded at what a regular flat cloth misses. Also, I forgot to mention that the gloves are best sewn with four layers - slide your hand in between the two. the pinking works great in all sorts of grooves.
      Happy Dusting!
