Home made Ravioli and Tomato Sause

Home made ravioli and tomato sauce!
My husband, Ted, saw this recipe
on TV and wanted to give it a try,
using venison from our deep freezer.
It was GREAT!

Ingredients List:
For Meat:
* 2 lbs Sausage, cooked (or your preferred meat)  * we used our own venison
Package of Won Ton wrappers
Egg yolk & brush

For Sauce:
1 - 16 oz.can diced skinless tomatoes
1 - 6 oz. can tomato sauce
And adjust to YOUR TASTE:
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
Parsley Flakes
1/2 tsp Oregano
Combine all ingredients and let sauce simmer while you prepare the raviolis....
(of course, I forgot to take a picture of the FULL pot)

While holding a won ton wrapper in your hand,
wipe the entire surface with egg yolk.
Put about table spoons meat in the center of the wrap.
Place another won ton wrap on top,
and press firmly all around the edges,
sealing and encasing the meat.

It should look something like this...
Then, drop into boiling water for about 4 minutes.
Remove from water and drain well...
Top with the sauce and your choice of cheese, if desired.
We used sharp cheddar.
It was a hit!

Y'all have a great weekend!

  2. And good to meet you as well! This was REALLY good and easy. I actually liked his sauce much better than my fave canned spaghetti sauce.
